Product Overview

2013 Polaris RZR4 XP 900 Rick's Hot Shot Voltage Rectifier Regulator 10-564H - SKU: 268903 A

Description:

Polaris RZR Regulator Rectifier 10-564H - Replaces OEM Part # 4014029 (See Fitment Below).

Rick’s Motorsport Electrics has been manufacturing ATV, UTV & motorcycle charging components for over 30 years. This new Hot Shot rectifier regulator is built using Mosfet Technology, allowing the regulator to run cooler & more efficiently. Rick’s worked with RZR owners to customize a part that is easy to install and will solve common overheating issues. The Rick’s Hot Shot regulator is protected by a separate inline 40 amp water resistant fuse, further protecting the integrity of the system. We believe this is an improvement over the OE version that only has a thermal switch. That switch shuts off the rec/reg if it gets too hot & the UTV won't even charge until it cools down!

Features:

Why the RZR Voltage Regulator is Important:

  • The voltage regulator is a key element in your RZR’s charging system. Without it, your battery doesn’t change and you are dead on the trail.

What is “MOSFET” technology?:

  • MOSFETs (Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor) are semiconductor switches which act to control the flow of electrical current. The MOSFET design relies on a switching mechanism that provides a more precise control than other models, particularly in low-power applications like UTVs, ATVs, and dirt bikes, due to its quicker switching capabilities. This in turn produces less heat as less energy is lost through the switching process. The result is a part that runs cooler and more efficiently. This improves the overall performance of the circuit as a whole, while also being a more reliable unit due to the cooler running condition causing less stress to the internal electronics.
  • In some cases, installing a MOSFET-style rectifier/regulator can even improve the overall wattage available. Less of the electrical energy is being consumed by the process of controlling the conversion of the Alternating Current from the stator to Direct Current for the battery. Combined with the improved switching abilities of the regulator handling the excess current, the more efficient circuit will do a better job keeping the battery properly charged
