Description:
Bad Dawg Accessories - GroundHog Max plow truly makes preparing food plots a one-man job. The GroundHog Max plow weighs 48 pounds and comes fully assembled. Easy to use "transport mode" allows the GroundHog Max to get to any remote food plot that your ATV can reach. The GroundHog Max can plow from 3-7 MPH and you can use reverse with the plow engaged. The GroundHog Max is half as wide as a normal pull-behind plow, but twice as fast. A proven product since 2007. It truly makes creating food plots a one-man job. GroundHog Max disc plow...not just for food plots: Disc Plow Like You've Never Seen Before: Transport Mode Makes Traveling Easy: Even Works In Reverse!: Create Firebreaks To Protect Your Property: How it works: Work With Almost All ATVs & UTVs: The GroundHog Max works on both independent or straight axle setups. It also works on two wheel drive models, but may not be as aggressive. Depending on the ground clearance you need you can adjust the plow in 1 inch increments. Fits: Universal for models with an existing 2" receiver hitch - NOTE: You need to be careful NOT to use too much of the ATV/UTV’s weight. A UTV's weight (Polaris Rangers 1500 lbs.) is double what an ATV normally weighs (around 700Lbs). BE AWARE that *2015 and newer Rangers hitches may need to be STRENGTHENED before they can be used if you plow real aggressively. Using the Proper Weight is accomplished by the adjustment of the up/down height adjustment tube and the T-Head. Failure to do this can result in bending your hitch.
GroundHog Max can be used not only for food plots, but is a great tool for creating firebreaks. In some states land owners are required to have firebreaks around their property. Creating firebreaks is easier than ever using the GroundHog Max. The GroundHog Max can also be used for duck hunting, landscaping and weed control, preppers, ranch and farm, etc. Think of the possibilities!!
The GroundHog MAX ATV disc plow is all new and improved. Unlike the original smooth disc design, the MAX is 30% more aggressive. The plow is mounted under the ATV’s rear-end, and uses the weight of the ATV and the operator to achieve direct down pressure. The MAX is made of 1/4" steal, weighs 48 pounds and comes fully assembled.
Put it in the bed, or strap it to a rack - makes traveling easy. No hunter will ever need help preparing his food plot again. When using the GroundHog MAX, it truly is a one-man job. Avoid the hassle of having to drag a heavy, hard to handle, pull behind plow to your food plot location. By having a “transport mode” the plow can go anywhere your ATV can go, from soggy bottomlands to rocky hillsides. Once you arrive to your location, simply back the ATV up on a 4" x 4" block that spans the 2 rear tires, take one tractor pin out, and flip the plow over to the plowing position. Once you have the plow in the correct position you can begin working on creating the perfect food plot.
You can back up with the plow engage. Remember that the GroundHog MAX lets you use reverse as well and will plow 3-7 MPH, which is twice as fast as a normal pull behind plow. The GroundHog MAX plow is half as wide as an average plow so it can be easily stored in your truck toolbox, under a work bench in your shop, or you can hang it on the wall.
A firebreak disc plow to create firebreaks. Another plus of the Groundhog Max is that it can be used to create firebreaks. Firebreaks are often man-made by using a plow. A firebreak is an area clear of grass and other materials that feed flames. Many people make man-made firebreaks to protect their property. This helps to ensure that wildfires do not reach their homes, barns, livestock, or anything else valuable. Some states require that people have firebreaks around their land. The Groundhog Max makes creating firebreaks easier than ever. Attach it to your ATV and create firebreaks where necessary.
Downward Pressure Is The Key.
The Groundhog Max works by using the weight of the ATV and the driver. This achieves direct down pressure on the plow. The plow is setup of an inner 10-9-8 inch notched disc with high speed bearings. This allows you to cut hard ground, grass, ground clutter with ease.
If your vehicle has an existing 2" receiver hitch, this kit will connect right up. If your vehicle has a standard ball mount hole or smaller receiver hitch, you will need to purchase the Groundhog Max Kit.
